Great post Jim! Waiting for Columbus is one of my favorite albums. Saw little Feat in 78 If memory serves, at Shippensburg College in PA Dixie Chicken is a favorite, great story and outstanding music. Always so much going on in older Feat tunes and Lowel George was a great loss. Fat Man in a Bathtub is also a favorite.
I consider myself fortunate to have grown up in the 60s and 70s. Music was big in our house and my life. The amount of sheer talent at that time was astounding, in all genres. I am happy to have a local college station that plays a great deal of older stuff. The also play a lot of new stuff I like as well.
Not the start of a typical Shinedown concert. This was at the Ryman last week. The lead singer's family was there for both shows, and he opened the 2nd night with this. His Dad have him this cassette to listen to, and it opened his eyes and heart to what music really was about.
