99's require premium gas.

Not so much of a problem if the prior owner used premium gas but there is a HIGH probability that they did not.
I run premium in mine 100% of the time as I get better mileage. Ran BG 44K a few times through it and now switched to MOC and have no complaints, though I think I am extremely lucky buying this one.

The next time it's next door I'll have the compression numbers pulled as you have me thinking. I have 213,500 miles and pulls hard and surprises me often.

I replaced the T-stat yesterday and went to back flush the core and as soon as I touched the "T" at the back of the drivers valve cover she broke! Both should be in today and I hope to get heat back at idle.

Thanks for the info.

If I did not have the Duramax I would get an RV....

May get a nice Toyhauler one day.
Toy haulers have come along way. Unfortunately they know this, I looked at 30 footer I believe and they wanted around 45k for it. For that money,I'd sooner keep my trailers and get an RV to pull my toys around. But,like you, I have a duramax and will work within it's capabilities.

Nolen, You are finally coming around to my way of thinking. I'm just gonna keep spending very little $ on the 40 and having fun. Fix what breaks, take a load of **** for not wheeling what everyone thinks I should be wheelng, load it on the trailer and get ready for the next ride. Been working for years and have had lots of fun doing it.
x2...except I don't have a trailer:p I just don't have the money or time to do crazy mods....if the rock is THAT step I need dual lockers and a crazy suspension I can do one of 3 things.
1. walk up to see the view
2. ride with Lenny
3. go back to camp and drink and have cold drinks ready for those up top!

Yep. I really, really am enjoying the RZR. I wish I could get some of you fools to buy one....

I am more coming around to the fact that I have "been there and done that" on the hardcore wheeling. I have been to 90% of all the places in the US. I have cut some of the hardest trails in Texas and Oklahoma. I have made my mark, had my fun, have few regrets.

What I am really wanting to do is some camping trips with the kids to some new places. I want to go explore the Mena AR area with Bossman and crew, head back to Big Bend, go to the National Seashore in Corpus and drive the beach....

The buggy is cool and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and especially love driving it around town, but the RZR and 80 are more what I want to "wheel" these days.
I think I want an expedition 40 for fun long rides, not short technical stuff that takes 2 hours for 400 yards of movement!

You guys are getting soft.. Yall need the toothfairy to slip yall some Viagras
no no no we just dont like the idea of putting $15k in a zuki!!!!!

BUT I think I speak for Nolen and Jeff in that we love watching you do it!!!!:grinpimp:

My 100 Series thread is s***. Thanks Cottonland

BTW, if I got a LX470, I could get everything I want from Slee for it for a mere 5000 dollars.

I like it.....

All I would need then is TARS and a WARREN WENCH.

What is on your list from slee?
Slee bumper, fairlead with LED light
Rear with Swingout
Slidersteps
Height Override switch

Right at $5000, then I would have painting costs and shipping.

Just dreaming right now. I would be going full poser though. I would not be taking it rockcrawling at all. Straight ATRAC wheeling son!

May even get a Snorkel. Nothing screams keyboard expedition jockey like a snorkel.

Well it looks like I am going to be in 100s for awhile. If my wife gets her moms 03 that will eventually be mine. So I will transfer stuff from the old 100 to the new 100. Just got to make a bumper decision.

You and Memcruiser are going to be chums. Are you gonna teach him how to smoke man cigars?!

Man y'all can't absolutely under any circumstances forget the bike rack. Maybe even get a bike to go with that bike rack! No, no, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Yall should just start out with soul glo on the tires and see where that takes ya.
Maybe even get some 22s ?!

Y'all take this outside. Nobody gets to fight around here unless I feel like fighten and right now, I don't feel like it. That is,,, if the moms, I mean mods, allow it.

40's aren't 60's, 60's aren't 80's, 80's aren't 100's and none of them are Buggies.

I haven't wheeled a truck since Buck was a calf and I still freekin love these events.

I've owned at least one of all the above models and there is one thing I've learned. The same ugly sons of bitches are gonna help me work on it no matter if its building a cage or wiring up a sound system.

Love us and our hot wives. The trucks are just transportation to get to hang out.
